OUR LITTLE SUPER HERO!

In a cape she got from a friends birthday party!

Happy Halloween!

Okay, so I guess I had better get these pics on before Christmas! The kids were so cute for Halloween. They had so much fun dressing up and of course they got a loot of candy. Have fun looking at their adorable costumes and little personalities!

Carving pumpkins!

Here we are carving our cute pumpkins! The kids had fun carving their own pumpkins with little safety knives. Parker wanted to taste what was going on, too!

Jason- Woodbadge

Jason received his Woodbadge Beads October 25. He actually completed his requirements about a year ago, but finally found time to have his beading ceremony. We got to go up to Camp Kimball, the place where they host Woodbadge here in Vegas, to have his ceremony. This is an awesome accomplishment in the scouting world. If you have further questions about what it all entails, you will have to speak with Jason! We are proud of him and the example he has set for our boys! A fun last tune for anyone who has ever done Woodbadge, "Oh, I used to be a beaver, a good 'ol beaver too..."

A little bit of Vegas!

****************************************************

My parents were able to come visit the end of October, and we took them to the strip to see some of the amazing sights of Las Vegas! We first took them to the Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay. The kids love this place, Macee loves getting to touch the starfish and sting rays. Logan is intrigued with the sharks. He actually gets a bit nervous around them, but he never stops talking about them and always says "Scawry" (Scary) when we say anything about sharks! After the aquarium, we took them to the Belagio to see the water fountain show. My kids LOVE it! The song that played with the show was Elvis-Viva Las Vegas, which was perfect for my moms first visit to the water show! We also went inside and saw the glass flowers on the ceiling of the Belagio as well as the theme decorated room. The theme was fall and was decorated in beautiful fall colors with fun gnome trees. I have loved being close to these casinos that have so many other things to offer besides what you would expect from a casino. I really am going to miss living here!

Cake Walk

I made my Grandma Nola's chocolate cake for dessert tonight and Macee decided she wanted to have a cake walk. So she made numbered squares and she had everyone marching around from number to number to music. The kids could have marched around for hours! Truly, they were more excited for the game then they were to eat their cake! Simple pleasures!

Stronger than she looks!

As Jason and I were watching conference this afternoon, Macee and Logan were out back. All of a sudden we heard a loud thump with a crack on the sliding glass door. We ran outside to check on the kids and looked back at the door to see it shattered! We asked what happened, and Macee had thrown a rock, probably trying to hit Logan. Anyway it must have hit the glass door just right, because the entire door shattered! It stayed in one piece on the door and luckily the door was double-payned, so the entire door didn't break. The rock she told us she threw and the only one we could see was about the size of a marble! She must have put some heat behind that throw!!!

Twin Falls Temple

Jason had a two week break from school before Fall semester started, so we took a two week family vacation!!! ---for some reason some of the posts got out of order, so just scroll through the m all. We first went through Idaho to see the Twin Falls temple, then Island Park. We then drove down to California.---

To start out our vacation, we drove through Utah over to Twin Falls, Idaho for the Temple Open House. Macee was so excited to go INSIDE a temple! It is a beautiful temple inside and out. When we were talking about visiting the temple, Macee was so cute and asked, "Are we going to see where you dance?" I smiled and asked her why she thought we danced in the temple. Her reply was, "Well, you take your pretty white dress with you!" It was so sweet! She thought we got to dance in our pretty white clothes!

"Roasting" Marshmallows

So, we roasted marshmallows one night at the cabin only to discover I am the only one who likes eating them! So, Jason thought it would be fun to show the kids how to burn them instead!! The kids actually loved watching them burn and blowing out the giant flames from the mallows!
